Look for my article, "Getting Saxophonists in Tune," in the Woodwind Clinic of the April, 2013 issue of The Instrumentalist magazine.
This Saturday, March 16th, 2013 at 9:30am, I will be premiering two new works as part of the North American Saxophone Alliance's Region VII Conference in Hinton Hall in the Wright Music Building on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro. The program will include Yoomi Paick's Vivid Prelude for solo baritone saxophone and Endless September for alto saxophone and electronics by Matthew Fink. If you are in the area, please come out and support the efforts of these two wonderful composers!
For the fourth year, I will be teaching saxophone and saxophone quartet at the Southeast Chamber Music Institute on the campus of Tennessee Technological University the week of May 26th-31st. The Institute is open to any interested young musicians currently in the ninth through twelfth grades. The week will include private lessons, masterclasses, and quartet, jazz ensemble, and wind ensemble rehearsals.
